Last evening, Beth Macy joined us at Carnegie Music Hall for a powerful, thoughtful conversation about her new memoir, "Paper Girl," as part of our Ten Evenings series. From small-town journalism to the fraying (and mending) of our civic fabric, Beth reminded us why stories—and local voices—matter so deeply. “We have to practice grace with each other. If they haven't had the same experience you've had, sometimes you just have to explain.” Thank you to Beth Macy for sharing her wisdom and vulnerability, and thank you to everyone who came out ready to listen, reflect, and engage in an evening of discourse and literature.
