Today we’re celebrating the publication of "The Pa Today we’re celebrating the publication of "The Pavese Stone," the new poetry collection from Pittsburgh poet Judith Vollmer.

Inspired by the legacy of Cesare Pavese, the book unfolds across the Italian countryside while moving through deeper interior terrain—memory, mortality, and the fragile threads that bind us to one another. Vollmer’s poems listen closely to the physical world. A river’s movement, a small gesture, a quiet moment between people. From these details she draws something larger: a meditation on loss, grace, and the strange dignity of an ordinary life.

Join us this Thursday at the Carnegie Library Lecture Hall for our FREE Made Local event with Vollmer, who will read from "The Pavese Stone" and reflect on the ideas behind the collection. #pubday #poetry #poetryofınstagram
