Just Announced: New & Noted with Marlon James Bo Just Announced: New & Noted with Marlon James Booker Prize-winning author Marlon James returns with "The Disappearers," a sweeping new novel set in 1980s Jamaica, where the murder of a gay man sends shockwaves through a group of men forced to navigate a world that refuses to let them exist openly. By turns suspenseful, heartbreaking, and deeply compassionate, the novel examines what survives in the wake of violence: love, friendship, memory, and hope.
