Physical Accessibility
Accessible Seating
All our venues have accessible seating locations. If you anticipate needing an accessible seat, please contact us in advance of your visit so we can be sure to reserve one for you.
Restrooms
All our venues have accessible restrooms. Further wayfinding details can be found at pittsburghlectures.org/event-details-and-wayfinding.
Accessibility Services
ASL Interpretation and CART Captioning
We are happy to provide ASL (American Sign Language) interpretation or CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation) services upon request. Please reach out to us in advance of your visit to request these services!
Assistive Listening Devices
The Carnegie Music Hall and Carnegie Library Lecture Hall are both equipped with assistive listening devices. You can speak with a staff member upon arrival if you would like to request one for the lecture.
The South Wing Reading Room of the Carnegie Library (used for some Made Local events) does not feature assistive listening devices. The space is small and those seated up front will be very close to the authors.
Service Animals
Service animals are welcome at all our events! If you would like to bring your service animal to the lectures, please inform us in advance of your visit so that we can work with you to provide seats with appropriate room.
Program Books for Screen Readers
The Ten Evenings program book is available as a screen-reader-friendly PDF.
