Ticket Policy & Information

To order tickets or subscriptions over the phone please call 412.622.8866, Monday through Friday from 10 am to 4 pm.  Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted.

Tickets for all our lectures can also be purchased at the box office:

On the day of the lecture: The box office will open one hour prior to the start time.

All pre-purchased tickets that are held at the box office will be brought to the venue.

In advance: At the Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures Office in Oakland.

Directions: We are located at 301 S. Craig St, Suite 200, Pittsburgh, PA 15213. To enter our office please walk through the restaurant Little Asia (between Eat Unique and the Irish Design Center) and turn left at the “to-go ordering” area. There will be a staircase straight ahead of you and we are on the second floor. Our box office is typically open Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 4 PM, with the exception of holidays. Please feel free to call us at 412.622.8866 in advance of your visit!

Please note: Single ticket prices for the Ten Evenings are subject to change based on demand.

If your ticket includes a book and you cannot attend the event we cannot guarantee that we will have a copy of the book for you after the event. Please contact us for availability at 412.622.8866.

Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures offers single tickets in addition to subscriptions.

Because not everyone can subscribe, we are happy to sell tickets to individual programs and will work to accommodate your needs. Seating for individual ticket holders is based on availability following the seating of subscribers.

All full season or partial season subscribers may exchange tickets during the season or return them for tax credit if unable to attend.

If possible, please make all returns or exchanges prior to noon on the day of the event. No returns or exchanges are offered to purchasers of individual tickets.

Contributors to the Lectures receive many special benefits.

Preferred seating in the Carnegie Music Hall for the Lectures is based on an additional contribution of $60.00 or more. And, there are other great benefits at all contributor levels.

If you make any additional contribution to the Lectures, your lost tickets will be replaced without an additional fee.

If possible, please call Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures at 412.622.8866 during regular business hours prior to the lecture. Otherwise, we will replace your ticket at the Box Office that evening. The Music Hall Box Office opens before each lecture at 6:30 pm.  We ask for a $2.00 donation for the replacement of your tickets.

Call for student and group discounts!

For all of our Ten Evenings $10 student discounts are available with valid student ID at the box office or with a valid .edu email address over the phone at 412.622.8866.  In addition, we welcome student groups. Any instructor bringing a group of three or more students receives a complimentary ticket to the event.
